RIYADH: More than 300 brands from 35 countries are set to attend Beautyworld Saudi Arabia 2024, the Kingdom’s only dedicated exhibition for the beauty, fragrance, hair and well-being sectors.
Among the local exhibitors will be Al Haramain Perfumes, which was established in 1970 in Makkah and is now the industry leader for the Gulf region and sells its products all around the world.
Others include Dar Alamirat — Saudi Arabia’s leading supplier of beauty and personal care products — and Dubai-based Fragrance World, which has been in business since 1988 and exports to more than 125 countries.
According to research from Statista, the value of the fragrances market in Saudi Arabia is set to reach $500 million this year, with further growth expected in the years ahead. Figures from Goldstein Research put the size of the country’s beauty market at $3.82 billion in 2021.
Syed Ali Akbar, show director at co-organizers Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “The fragrance category is always one that we are very proud of at Beautyworld, as it has deep cultural significance in the region, coupled with the boom in international interest in Middle Eastern manufacturers and scents.
“European and international fragrance houses are exhibiting in Saudi Arabia this year in larger numbers, and it’s great to see the global growth and the best sector leaders come together in Riyadh for what we know will be another exceptional show for both trade and visitors.”
Bilal Al-Baramawi, CEO of co-organizers 1st Arabia Exhibitions and Conferences, said: “The opportunity for both regional and international visitors to connect and showcase at Beautyworld Saudi Arabia is unparalleled.
“From the success of the 2022 event, this year’s fair has filled the entire available venue space as proof of the importance of the beauty and wellness sector to the economy as a whole. The GCC leads the way in this sector and we are proud that the show features allow further networking, trade and growth that connects suppliers and trade from across the globe.”
As well as Saudi Arabia, Beautyworld exhibitions have been held in Dubai and Japan.
The latest event runs from Feb. 11- 13 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
